Your cooperation in the following ways is vital:

Congregation Beth El is committed to being a good neighbor in our mostly residential neighborhood. Everyone's participation is required.

Please be courteous to our neighbors and minimize parking in front of their homes, and of course, be careful not to block driveways. Be sure not to take up every parking spot so that our neighbors will have plenty of room to park and receive guests as well. Be sure to use the satellite parking.

Walking:
The best choice for those who live nearby. Pedestrian entrances are located on both Spruce and Oxford Streets.

Public transportation:

AC Transit Bus Service -
- #67 stops on Spruce Street in front of Congregation Beth El
- #43, 9 and 7 stop at Shattuck & Rose, a short walk to Beth El

Carpool:
Whenever possible, carpool. Save resources, stress, and parking spaces.

If you are driving:
Arrive headed north on Oxford Street and turn right into the one-way driveway to drop off passengers. Exit onto Spruce Street turning right only. Please do not make u-turns on the neighborhood streets or in our neighbor’s or Beth El’s driveway. When entering and leaving the Beth El drive, be sure to follow the posted signs and attendant's instructions.

Free Satellite Parking

In order to minimize our parking impact on nearby streets, we have made arrangements for our members, staff and guests to utilize satellite parking lots in walking distance free of charge.
