Counseling/Life Cycle Officiation by Rabbi Ferenc Raj is distinguished by his special regard and sensitivity for the importance of individuals within the community; their joys and sorrows, needs and desires, hopes and aspirations. Rabbi Raj serves as a guide and resource person in helping others search for ways to build bridges between their secular and religious selves. Adult B’nai Mitzvah/B’nai T'filah
Adult B’nai Mitzvah/B’nai Tifilah is taught by Cantor Brian Reich and Rabbis Ferenc Raj and Jane Litman. Cantor Reich gives personal instruction on torah reading, trope, and leading services.

ADULT B’NAI MITZVAH STUDY COURSE
ORIENTATION AND FIRST SESSION
SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2006 – 1:15 PM
This nine-month course will meet weekly to
prepare participants for a group B’nai Mitzvah
ceremony in June 2007. One year of Hebrew
study (or equivalent) is a required prerequisite.
The Orientation will address most questions.

A Taste of Judaism
with Rabbi Ferenc Raj
3 Wednesday sessions: Sept. 6, 13, 20 at
7:15 pm
A Taste of Judaism is a 3-session class for
beginners, Jewish or not, that explores topics
of Jewish spirituality, ethics and community.
Designed for unaffiliated Jews, non-Jews,
intermarried couples and all searching for an
entry into Jewish life. The last session (Sept. 20)
will be a High Holy Day Workshop open to the
entire congregation.
Introduction to Judaism/Conversion Program
Congregation Beth El sponsors a full Introduction to Judaism/Conversion Program under the auspices of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Participants are invited to be part of a twenty week class taught by the rabbis of Beth El and Temple Sinai. Individual meetings with Rabbi Raj and participation in the life of the synagogue make choosing Judaism a deeply spiritual and warm communal experience. Watch for schedule to be posted shortly.
