passover at beth el Tuesday evening, April 6 Yizkor Circle 6:15 pm • Yizkor Service 6:45 pm At each of our major festivals, we remember our loved ones who have died through the ritual of the Yizkor memorial service. Whether your loss is recent or more distant, you are invited to join with others in our community to commemorate your loss and honor the memory of those we have lost. The Yizkor service is preceded by a Yizkor circle, a facilitated discussion about loss, grief, love and memory. All are welcome. Web Resources for Passover Whether you are wondering how to lead and/or cook for your very first Passover, or seeking to add more meaning and depth to your observance of the holiday, there are many resources available on the web which can help you and your family enjoy the most meaningful and enjoyable Passover season possible. For those who are just beginning or looking for tips on what to do, My Jewish Learning is a rich and varied site. It has everything from Passover 101 to mazta ball recipes to “the theology of the Seder.” The national Reform movement of which we are a part, the Union for Reform Judaism, includes an MP3 of the Four Questions along with ideas for making your Seder more social-justice oriented along with many other Passover ideas. You don’t have to be an interfaith family to enjoy the many resources at Interfaith Family.com about how to celebrate the holiday along with reflections and ideas for how to ensure that your observance is welcoming and inclusive. Best for a joyous and liberating Passover season! |
