EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Congregation Beth El is excited to offer engaging programming for it’s littlest learners and their families. Starting with Katanchicks, our baby group, and moving through Beth El Nursery School (BENS), families with children ages 0-5 have opportunities to celebrate holidays, build community and begin to explore and create their Jewish identity.
Katanchicks
Katanchicks, our baby group, is for friends 0-24 months and their grown-ups. Facilitated by our Katanchicks Coordinator Jill Rosenthal, a longtime early childhood teacher and director, Katanchicks has a drop-in play group every Friday from 9:30-11:00 am and a monthly Shabbat Circle on Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 am. Feel free to contact Jill Rosenthal to learn more.
Beth El Nursery School (BENS)
Beth El Nursery School (BENS) serves our learners who are 2-5 years old. At BENS, we believe children are competent, capable and eager to learn and make more meaning of the world around them. Jewish values, culture and Hebrew language are woven into our classroom curriculum. Kavod (honor), chesed (kindness) and kehillah (community) guide children to honor themselves, others and the world around them. Through an emergent curriculum and nurturing environment, our teachers bring their passion, expertise and a hands-on learning approach to their students. At BENS, we strive to inspire lifelong learning and build community.
