The October 7th attacks and subsequent war have made unequivocally clear the existential threat facing Israel. Together, we will examine the question – How did we get here? As members of the Bay Area Jewish community, it can feel almost impossible to have a constructive conversation about the State of Israel and the shared future for all people who live in the land. And yet, this spring in community we will be bravely leaning into the difficult nature of this discourse. Using Daniel Sokatch’s book, Can We Talk About Israel?: A Guide for the Curious, Confused, and Conflicted, we will explore the historical moments and varying narratives that have led to this current moment. Our in-person group will be limited to 20 people. We kindly ask you to RSVP in advance using the registration links below. If you have any questions, please reach out to Rabbi Ira.
